9/20/18:
Movie Night-Wild Beasts 
When PCP inexplicably gets into the water supply of a large zoo in Frankfurt, Germany, the zoo animals go crazy, break out of their cages, and go on a homicidal, nighttime rampage through the city killing any person they come into contact with starting with sewer rats killing a number of passerbys, then tigers, cheetahs, lions and even elephants joining in the killing. Zoo veterinarian Rupert Berner, his scientist girlfriend Laura, along with a local police officer, Inspector Braun, try to find a way to control the murderous animals and stop them before they decimate the entire city.

Entrance to the movie is free (though donations gladly accepted) & we'll have popcorn, soda, & beer available.It's all ages and will be projected on a screen at the shop.

August First Friday: Three Year Anniversary Show and Benefit for Wayside Waifs 
We opened up shop three years ago on an August First Friday and this coming First Friday, we're going all out to celebrate! We're putting on a benefit show for Wayside Waifs, the shelter that Jasper, our shop dog, was adopted from four years ago to say thank you for providing our staff and customers with the coolest record listening buddy we could ask for. Playing are Hipshot Killer, Lovergurl, Arson Class, Evil Pillows, & Typing Pool. Art by Jacob Wold

8/14/18:
The Peoples Market  

Our third People's Market, free and open to all. There will be free hot meals, free clothing and other donation items alongside free literature and access to many great local organizations. This month, there will also be a free self defense class. We are partnering with Kansas City Food Not Bombs, The Really Really Free Market, IWW, The Democratic Socialists of America- KC Chapter, & The 8th St. Publishing Guild

In partnership with the Democratic Socialists of America-Kansas City Chapter, The Really Really Free Market, Food not Bombs and more to be announced, Rev will be hosting a donation based free market from 6pm-8pm for anyone in need of food, clothing or other services. All are welcome.

7/19/18:
Movie Night-Day of The Triffids 
Stay inside and lock your doors for The Day of the Triffids is coming! For reasons unexplained by science, hundreds of meteorites begin to fall to Earth and blind those who witness the phenomenon. The few who retain their sight are horrified to encounter dandelion-like fluff known as triffids. These triffids multiply and grow into man-eating plants that begin to march on civilization, destroying everyone in their path. Join four survivors of the terrifying onslaught of triffids as they search for a means of destroying the menacing plants. This 1963 Sci-fi thriller starring Howard Keel, Nicole Maurey, Janette Scott, and Kieron Moore will be the second installment in our new monthly movie night!

Movie Night at Revolution presents: Alligator People 
​A newly wed is separated from her husband on a train. Years later, she tracks him down in the Bayou. But he's not the man he was... in fact he's not a man at all! A freak experiment has turned him half alligator. This 1959 sci-fi horror film starring Lon Chaney, Jr., Beverly Garland & Richard Crane will be the first in our new monthly movie night.

Entrance to the movie is free (though donations gladly accepted) & we'll have popcorn, soda, & beer available.It's all ages and will be projected on a screen at the shop. 

We've been getting a lot of great VHS tapes in and we'd like to explore some of the odder ones to walk in our door. So come out to witness the terror in the Bayou as we dive headfirst into the swampland of Alligator People!
