2/7/20: February First Friday: Our First Ever Open Mic Night  This month on Friday, February 7th, we're going to do our first-ever acoustic open mic night! bring us a song or two to play, have a beer and support your friends in trying out their new stuff. After the open mic, there will be performances by Heath Church and more TBA! Art by Claire Monroe And as always lots of beer 2/11/20: The People's Market Join us on Tuesday, February 11th, from 6-8pm for our monthly People's Market, free and open to all. There will be free hot meals, free clothing and other donation items alongside free literature and access to many great local organizations. We are partnering with Kansas City Food Not Bombs, The Really Really Free Market, The IWW, The 8th St. Publishing Guild, Cathy's Cakes & more. 2/21/20: Open Poetry Night Join us on Friday, December 21st, for our next reading in our monthly series, Open Poetry will kick off at 7:30 pm with featured readers followed by an open mic. Free/all ages/open to everyone! 8th St. Publishing Guild is a Kansas City-based publisher of surrealist & avant-garde poetry & prose. We take submissions and would be delighted to read your work. Repair Fairs Every other Saturday, we're continuing our repair fair where all are welcome to bring by broken stereo equipment & music gear for service. Simple repairs start at only $10. Most repairs can be done on the spot. We specialize in tube amps. Bring us all your broken turntables, receivers, speakers, cables, microphones, guitars, amps, guitar pedals, keyboards, & anything else you can think of!
